16 weeks, ahh.

135.5 lbs (.5 lbs gained this week, 7.5 total)

starting to show!

My friend Molly Hobbs came over this week (she has a one year old) and convinced me to use cloth diapers. Although both James' and my mom used cloth diapers, I wasn't sold on the idea until I found these:

Bum Genuis Cloth Diapers

Not only are they more economical and environmentally friendly than disposable diapers, but they are also much healthier for the baby. I never really thought about how many chemicals are in disposable diapers, but reviews reveal how many rashes result from disposable diapers. When baby Kehrli is first born or traveling, I'm sure we'll use some throw away diapers, but I'm ready to get my hands dirty with cloth ones as well.

Time to take cookies out of the oven. Love you all and thank you for the comments! One more picture from week 13, which is near to my heart:

In a few more weeks we will have our 20 week ultrasound and get a much clearer picture of our rapidly growing baby, but for now, this makes me smile :).

wow I bet its crazy doing those ultrasounds. It always reminds of the movie Aliens, but in a good way. I imagine its pretty crazy feeling something move inside you.

Oh goodness! That picture is so amazing! I can't wait for the baby to be born. I totally agree with the cloth diaper strategy. I just can't wait to meet this little one. How long do you think you'll be in town for the wedding? I definitely want to get some baby time in before my big day. :)

At 16 weeks... my belly just popped out! Then suddenly people were asking if I was having twins. "Actually no ma'am... just one HUGE baby." Pssh.
Good luck with the clothe diapers. You are far more brave than I.

Good choice with the cloth diapers. I, too, was raised on cloth diapers, but I think most people our age were. It's sad to think where all those disposables go as opposed to saving all that waste.

I'm so excited for you! Being around my 5 month-old niece and watching my brother and sister in law parent is really cool. I hope you're learning a lot about yourself and God!
